  1. Wow! Did you use acrylic because the colors look so vibrant on wood?

    1. Thanks! No we just used tempera paint. I use prang and dick blick. They are pretty opaque and my students really apply it on heavy.

  4. I know what you mean about feeling like 4 -6th graders are really there just to socialize, but you must be doing something right because these are awesome. Your kids must feel safe with you and happy or they wouldn't talk at all - like the first day of school.

  7. Rachelle - I have a 5th grade Art Club after school but am curious how you like before school and how long does it last...45 minutes or an hour? Love your blog. :)

    1. Awww thanks for your kind words. I like art club better in the morning. (3rd and 4th graders) I am ready to teach and excited about their awesome projects. I have them for 40 minutes. :)

    1. Hi Shanna, I used Elmer's Glue All for the sticks and Tacky Glue to hold down the Model Magic Hearts
