Welcome to our annual Fine Arts Festival celebrating Youth Art Month, Fairy Tales and Fables. Here are just a few photos of our fun filled night. Every child had at least 2 projects up most had 4-5 projects. The projects stay up for over a month.

Displays at the end of the hallway -These are everywhere! 125 were created.

Flowers were old placemats used for painting in our classroom.
Analogous symmetrical flowers- Every student created one-

Monet Waterlilies 3rd grade and painted paper frogs
Flowers were recycled cardboard from shipped art stools. Painted paper petals, coffee filter centers painted with liquid water colors inspired by the Miss Bess found here.

ReplyDeleteThanks! No I do it all myself. I absolutely LOVE hanging artwork such a pleasure to see students projects. This is just 25% of the building all the walls are plastered with art. I then take it all down by myself too. :)

ReplyDeleteI would love to walk through these halls! How long does it take to get all the art up? Also, what do you use to put the art up so the artwork doesn't get destroyed when you take it down?
ReplyDeleteThanks! 2 months- early mornings- after school and during planning. I use the blue sticky tack to hang everything, it peels right off when I am done displaying. :) I never use tape.
DeleteWhat a nice exposition of your students work! It looks just fantastic! There is for sure a lot of talent in those kids but behind it there is you who foster all that talent! Just fantastic!
ReplyDeleteFabulous fabulous displays. But I have one question: what do you use to stick the artwork on cement block walls? Everything I have ever tried falls down, or if it doesn't fall down, it ruins the artwork. I know someone who hot-glues to the walls but I don't dare.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Phyl I use the blue sticky tack. I have 2 large tubs of the blue gold! It holds great even when the winds come blowing down the hallways!
DeleteThis is amazing-truly amazing. What a beautiful thing you have done for your school! I bet the children are so proud. As I prepare to start my day teaching I am wishing instead I could be a student in your class today! I love the thought and creativity behind each of your lessons. I think the pumpkin carriage is my favorite and I want to try that next year. Thank you for sharing all of these awesome ideas! Made my day and totally inspired me to finish off this week before spring break!!
