Our Vikings are a burly type!
 spears and grins....
 bows and curls...
 Bad teeth and all!
Check out the flowers being painted in the field

This little guy is getting ready to fell a tree!

Students added details and painted around their Viking.

Seriously, Could this guy be any cuter?

Mural Board -This is were we create our magical murals!
Drying on the floor... before displayed in the hallway.

  1. These guys are my favorite! I love your students' vikings.

  2. So awesome. I love the color choice for the background. Would have never thought of that color scheme. Good job!
I have a question for you and any other art teachers out there. Do you teach only elementary? I am in a private school, part time, and instruct students from three years old up to 14 years old. At this point in the year I am feeling frustrated at the lack of time I have to display art work. My schedule is crazy this year and I'm scratching my head wondering why I can't get things done. Any advice? Thanks!

    1. Thanks! I teach elementary and 6th grade. I really try to have kids help do the display when ever possible. After the students prepare the projects for displaying I hang them up after school I guess after 16 years I have finally figured it out! :)

  3. Thank you for your response. I'm guilty of not utilizing my students enough. They are generally eager helpers. I have to remind myself to make a schedule that gives me and the kids some direction as to when to come down to the art room. After all my years you'd think I'd have that down pat. It's an after thought with me too often and a little of me wanting to do it all. Sitting home sick this weekend and trying to figure it all out. It was a rather frustrating week last week. I'll be back in the saddle soon. Thanks again, keep on inspiring us.

  4. What a great idea! Love those burly vikings!

  5. I must try these with my students as our mascots are the Vikings! very cool -thanks.
