Cowboy Campfire

After enjoying several campfires with my family check out this one made with painted paper.
Step 1. 12 x 18 background paper. Assorted paintedpaper for various details, logs, fire, stones, etc.
Step 2 cut out fun flames and layer them on top of logs.
Step 3. Speckled paper with white paint. I did make tracers of cups and coffee pots but then the students cut them out and placed them on the paper.
Step 4. oil pastels to add more textures & stars.
Last but not least -a little glitter in the sky to complete your fun campfire!

Our little cabin on wheels!

Well we did it! we bought a little pop up for our family of four. We are having a blast. Love having our little place to tow behind us. The kids just love it. I have had so much fun taking pictures of campers in the campground.

Howdy Campers!

Well we have been out and about enjoying the summer weather and our state parks! Loving the cool lake water, building sand castles and enjoying a beautiful campfire at night. My next unit for the school year will focus on going to the lake and fun sights of America. So while I am snapping photos for future projects please enjoy a minute by the fire. :)

Medieval Sandcastles

On our trip to the lake, we had some fun times creating our sandcastles. My kiddos learned all about the different parts of the sandcastle. The main tower (keep) the outer towers, with the curtain walls around the castle. Happy Summer!

Check out the stone road to the main tower....

The moat around the castle filled with water.
